OCR Can Make Names Where None Exist

Just a quick reminder about the limitations of OCR technology when using computer-generated indexes.

    OCR has difficulty with old newspapers -- just try the "text" version for some of them and it is easy to see why your search term isn't found! The surname Ertel gets many hits, but most turn out to be some other word or combination of words.
